I
had my class on Monday 12th and I started by greeting the students.
Then, I developed the warm up activity
which consisted on a game known by them,
I called it “the hanged man” and the words I used was the verbs, but in
the past tense, they had fun, but I realized that they do not know the past of
some verbs. The topic was “Simple past and Past continuous”; after the warm up,
I explained the grammar point and I felt very nice, because I was not nervous
and the students understood the topic. The next activity was the controlled one
and I gave them a sheet of paper that contained 3 exercises, in which they
practiced the simple past, the past continuous and in the third one they
practiced the use of both and thank God they did it very well. I could not
continue because of the time, but I felt fine because I know they understood
the topic.

Hello,Almita. You are getting used to teaching and that is wonderful.
ResponderEliminarFeeling confortable in the classroom helps a lot because the Ss perceive your mood and they learn in a good atmosphere.
Also ,beginning confidently as you did is a good sign the class will be successful.
Hi Alma!!!!!
ResponderEliminarIt´s nice to know that you are enjoying your classes even when you have to teach grammar. I like the idea of the hang man activity, it help you to know if your students were familiarized with the topic.
Nice class!!!
Hello! Alma
ResponderEliminarI really liked your warm up activity because it was very interesting. And I'm glad to heard that you felt very comfortable teaching grammar because you were not nervous. And it is nice because in that way students can assimilate better the information. Keep on working hard..BLESSINGS!
Alma! I see you're doing well with your classes. I liked the "hangman activity"; it was suitable for this topic. It seems that it was a simple class; however, to say that is simple does not mean that is not complete. Sometimes we try to invent things that at the end do not work. Once, Einstein said "Everything shold be made as simple as posible, but not simpler" You made things simple, and that is great. Keep developing your potencial Almibiris! Blessings!!
ResponderEliminarWell done Alma!
ResponderEliminarTO start, let me tell you that you had a very nice warm up since you adapted it to your topic. You innovated your classes, and it can be seen in your blogs. Nevertheless, I must recommend you to keep on the same track. I know you will always improve, so keep working well! Cheers, Almira :)!
